Author Visits and Workshops
I love visiting schools, libraries, bookshops, and festivals to share my work as an author and illustrator—and to meet young readers!
Storytime & Draw-along
I read one of my picturebooks, share fun behind-the-scenes facts, and guide participants in drawing the characters. Sessions can include a Q&A, a game, or a second story chosen by the group.
Illustration Workshop
We explore how words and pictures work together to tell stories. Using hands-on paper cut-out techniques, participants create their own artwork to take home. Workshops can also include a book reading or tips on writing and storytelling.
My events are fun, relaxed, and designed to spark creativity and a love of children's literature. They’re ideal for primary school-aged children, customisable for any group, and available both in-person and online. Sessions typically last one hour.
For details on workshops, fees, and availability, please get in touch. I’m based in Northern Ireland, and my rates follow the author fee guidelines recommended by Children’s Books Ireland.
What People Say
“It was an absolute pleasure working with Clive on a number of workshops in Kuwait. Clive led sessions for over 200 children of different ages and nationalities, skilfully adapting the content (sometimes at the last minute!) to capture their attention and stimulate their imaginations. Clive’s engaging style encouraged even the most shy children to build their confidence to draw and develop their creativity."
Belinda Lewis, UK Ambassador to the State of Kuwait
